Heyyyyy friends! It’s spring, and you know what that means, right? Spring cleaning, of course….i.e. cleaning up your website + social media and refreshing your head shots!!
I hear your collective groan. Both the “How did it get to be April already???” and, “Ugh, new head shots?? Really????”
But let me ask you, how current are the head shots you’re using on your website and all over social media? Have you cut or colored your hair or recently changed something about your look? Would your dream clients feel like they know you from your photo, and like they could jump right through the screen and share a cup of coffee with you? I fully admit that I’m due for some updated head shots myself.
Having a genuine, approachable head shot is KEY to connecting with your dream clients. If you’re like me, these are the easiest kinds of images to put off because being in front of the camera can also be a really vulnerable experience. I am completely with you- given the choice between being photographed and getting a root canal, you’d probably be more likely to find me at the dentist. But that’s why it’s SO important to work with someone who can make you feel comfortable and make you look fabulous at the same time.
Getting your photos taken can also sometimes be a whole production. Believe me, I get it. I do fully styled personal branding sessions for creative entrepreneurs, and it can easily take a half or full day to execute all of the concepts. While I LOVE these signature sessions, I understand that sometimes our imagery just needs a bit of a facelift.
WHICH IS WHY I’M OFFERING HEAD SHOT MINI SESSIONS…PLUS 5 FREE STYLED STOCK IMAGES!
Come join me at my BRAND NEW STUDIO for light snacks, bubbles, and head shots in West Town April 20th and 21st. I’ll be styling 3 scenes to provide the perfect background for some natural, lifestyle images that you can use on social media, Linked In, your website…heck, even your dating profile, if you want! And as an added perk, you’ll get FIVE FREE STOCK PHOTOS to market your brand. (I might even need to jump in front of the camera myself!!) Here are some more details about the experience:
1. When is this happening?
2 DAYS – Friday, April 20th and Saturday, April 21st.
2. How long is a mini session?
Mini sessions are 20 Minutes. I recommend arriving 10 minutes early to change and do any last minute touch ups to be camera ready. Because sessions will be scheduled back to back, we may not be able to accommodate late arrivals.
3. What do I wear? Can I bring my own props?
20 minutes is enough time for one outfit or look. You know your brand best – different styles work for different industries. I typically recommend something that is both professional and approachable. You can find more attire ideas here and here.
There will be 3 pre-styled scenes in neutral color palettes. If you want to bring your favorite coffee mug or some flowers for a pop of color, feel free, but we will not have sufficient time to re-style each scene with multiple props. I encourage you to use your attire to bring your color palette into the scene.

4. Will you retouch imperfections?
Ever show up for picture day and you have a pesky blemish or your hair is uncharacteristically full of flyaways? I got you! Basic retouching is included in the service and covers things like blemish removal, softening of wrinkles, removing flyaways, and whitening of teeth. My goal is to make you look fabulous while still maintaining your natural appearance. Brace removal, slimming, and other special services are available for an additional fee.
5. How long until I get to see my photos?
Turnaround is 1 week or less for fully edited and retouched images. I’ll create a personalized gallery online for you to view your photos. You will be able to select your 3 favorites. Once your selections are made, I will make them available for download.
6. How much is the session and what do I get?
The entire experience is $295, payable through my booking system to reserve your spot. This includes the photo shoot, 3 finalized head shots, and 5 complimentary stock photos. You will have commercial usage rights to your images, meaning you can use them in any online medium to promote your business.
7. Is hair and makeup available?
We will be offering light makeup application and hair touch ups for an additional fee. Makeup only is $25, and hair + makeup together are $35. Please allow 20 minutes for one service, 30 minutes for both. Only a select number of these appointments are available, so be sure to reserve in advance.
8. What if I want more than one outfit or more than 3 finalized images?
Due to time constraints, it’s unlikely we’ll be able to photograph you in more than one look, but it never hurts to have two options just in case. Also feel free to bring a blazer to throw over a blouse or dress, which can provide some variety for your look.
The mini session is priced to include the time and editing fee for 3 images; however, if you just can’t choose, you are more than welcome to purchase additional images for $75 each.
9. I have a team of people that need head shots. Is this a good time to have that done?
If there are 2-3 of you, this would be the perfect opportunity to take advantage of. In order to accommodate all of you, I ask that everyone arrive at the same time which will allow some time for one team photo. 10. How do I sign up?
I’m glad you asked! Go ahead and snag your spot for Friday or Saturday below. Be sure to select the appropriate level of service – mini session only ($295), mini session with light makeup application ($320), or mini session with makeup + hair touch ups ($330). Once you sign up, I’ll send you a confirmation and be in touch about all of the details!
