2014 is already off to a fabulous start, and I can hardly believe it’s already February. I’m anticipating exciting things for 2014, and I wanted to start the launch of my shiny new brand with a flash back to last year’s best. I had the joy of meeting so many new friends, working with some incredible clients, and traveling to some amazing new places. Here are a few of my favorites from they year!
(The images above were taken for The Everygirl’s How to Style Wire Shelves feature. So many amazing tips.)
It was so much fun to photograph Kelly and Gonzalo’s engagement session in Seattle with one of my besties, Alaina Bos.
Amy of Sugar Chic Designs had already dazzled me with her talent during our Tangerine Tango shoot in 2012, and it was so lovely to spend time with her on her glamour and branding shoot this year.
Working with the Malnati’s on Jeanne’s launch of The Culture Group in 2013 was a true honor.
It was such a joy to photograph my sweet cousin’s wedding St. Louis and to spend some time with family I hadn’t seen in far too long!
One of the best parts of shooting for The Everygirl is meeting some truly fabulous women in Chicago. And sometimes I meet a new friend. I’m so happy to have connected with Shayna of Steel Petal Press. Not only is she one talented lady, but she is inspiring, hilarious, and has a heart of gold. I can’t wait to reveal my gorgeous new business cards she is working on!!
I met Jayna last year initially through photographing her career feature on The Everygirl, and so I was thrilled to spend time with her again for another photo session. Founder of Closet Angels, an organization that donates the sales from designer items to St. Jude’s, Jayna is truly a beautiful woman, inside and out!
Jenny Packham. Need I say more?
Meg Goullette is the marketing director at Rockit Ranch Productions, only one of the greatest restaurant groups in Chicago that oversees Sunda, The Underground, and Rockit.
Four years in Chicago, and I still love the skyline…
Pierrette and Tony just melt my heart, and I love spending time with them. They are so in love…and complete knockouts!
I seriously cannot WAIT to share more images from Kelly Marie and Dave’s beautiful wedding at Camp Wandawega this past summer. It was a perfect weekend, and my heart just bursts with joy for them! I am so lucky to call them friends. And just in case you’re looking for gorgeous florals in the city, you can head over to Kelly’s lovely shop, Fleur, in Logan Square.
Within minutes of meeting Whitney and Vince, I just knew we’d have a blast together. I cannot wait to photograph their wedding in just a few short months and work with Five Grain Events!
Spending some time in New York for my former roommate, Ali’s, wedding was one of the highlights of my summer. Their bridal party was such a blast too!
My dear friend, Kristine Aletha, asked me to photograph some images for her new website, which is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous. I found out the day of the shoot that she and Cory were expecting. Sweet baby girl Hankins is due any day now!
Jessica Marie is just another sweet friend I met this summer. Jess is a health and life coach, and is one of the most fun and vibrant women I know!
When Joan of Five Grain Events connected me with her brother regarding their summer reception, I knew it would be special. But Matt and Sivan’s garden brunch was a total dream to photograph. They are so adorably in love, and Sivan was an absolute vision.
I have loved getting to know Carlene and J.B. over the past two years! Last year I photographed their gorgeous Chicago Botanic Garden Wedding, and so when they asked me to do an anniversary session at CBG, I was thrilled. These high school sweethearts live in California and travel back frequently to visit family and friends. Adventurers at heart, they have spent quite a bit of time traveling, and Carlene shares their adventures in life and love together on at Ever Moore Milestones. They were also just recently in Bouquet Catcher, a north shore publication!
Who doesn’t love a summer dinner party under a tent?
Maria has been a dear friend of mine, almost since the beginning of my time in Chicago. I had the joy of photographing her wedding in 2011, and she has been an incredible resource to me as I have grown my business. I’ve gained so much from one on one coaching with her, and I was proud to photograph images for her new site dedicated to helping wedding professionals with Authentic Selling.
Here are Pierrette and Tony again. Aren’t they just fabulous?!
Every year I collaborate on a few different styled shoots. Over the past two years, I’ve worked with my two friends and colleagues from Lovebird Events and Reenie Rose to produce wedding inspiration based on Pantone’s Color of the Year. 2013 was the year of Emerald Green, and we were so happy that Style Me Pretty picked up the feature!
If you didn’t see Amelia Canham Eaton’s home tour on The Everygirl, drop everything NOW and go see it! Author of The Chicago Life Blog, she is truly a sweetheart and has a serious sense of style.
I spent a few hours one day photographing my friends at Fragrant Design and watching them transform loose flowers into works of art. I am always struck by the romantic wildness of their work!
I am so thankful to Beth of SQN Events for introducing me to Joanna and Vikram! We had so much fun this summer at their Chinese Tea Ceremony and Hindu wedding festivities.
Jan and Jillian of Natural Beauties Floral are motivated, inspiring, and simply gorgeous. I loved spending time with them in their West Loop studio during their brand storytelling shoot.
If you’ve ever stopped into Jayson Home, you know it’s full of a million treasures and lots of style. But meeting and photographing creative director, Caroline Scheeler, for The Everygirl, was definitely the biggest highlight!
Christy and Joe’s intimate wedding at the Glen Rowan House was incredibly moving. You can also hear more about how Joe proposed in Spain and see some images over on The Bouquet Catcher.
Marina and Paul’s downtown Chicago wedding photos are truly some of my favorites. The light that day was divine. Their group of friends were so much fun, and I’m so happy that Shannon Gail was able to take a bit of a step back that day from planning to be a bridesmaid and guest. (Though we know she really was still responsible for everything running so smoothly behind the sceneds!)
Lindsay and Damon had flown in for the weekend from Texas, and we spent some time in her parent’s yard in Hinsdale at sunset. These two just radiate affection for one another! I can hardly wait for their wedding this summer with my friend and colleague Nicole Zenner of LK Events!
Jennifer and Kimberly, the fabulous owners and creators of Ianneci Jewelry recently launched their 2014 jewelry collection, and I had the privilege of working with them on a lifestyle shoot of their new product. Each of their pieces are handmade, and they are truly works of art!
So much love!!!
I photographed Khristian Howell of KAH Designs at the end of last year for The Everygirl, and have been so glad to find a new friend and fellow creative entrepreneur.
You’ve already seen some of Jason and Nicole’s Sarasota wedding, but I couldn’t pass them up in my roundup!!
And finally, I have to close with some images from my epic trip to Istanbul and Vienna in the fall. St. Augustine said that the world is a book and that those who do not travel have only seen one page. I feel so lucky to have seen a few more, and hope it’s the beginning of many!
Oh my dear friend, what a lovely year you’ve had! Absolutely stunning images! Congrats on your new site and branding – gorgeous!
Gorgeous work, love!
