Aaaaaahh, this wedding!! I have been DYING to share these Rookery wedding photos since before I even photographed them! I met Jill and Tim last year, and after spending hours chatting over cocktails at Soho House, it was pretty clear these two were special. Â I am grateful they decided to work with me and let me tell their love story!
Tim is an architect and has an immense appreciation for beautiful buildings, so marrying Jill at the Rookery in Chicago was a no-brainer. It is easily one of the most gorgeous venues in Chicago and among my favorites. Their wedding day was rich with laughter, emotion, and celebration. The bonds in both families run deep, and their hospitality was exceptional. And although I credit Jill and Tim’s strength of character to their own sense of intentionality in life, it is clear they both had excellent examples in their parents: Jill’s warmth and communication skills;  Tim’s calm demeanor, enduring love, and sense of humor.
From the pre-wedding festivities at the JW Marriott and W Chicago City Center, to their tearful vows at First United Methodist, to our fun photo shoot around the city (props to Tom for gently removing our avian friend from the Wrigley building), and to the toasts back at the Rookery which were both touching (looking at you Mr. Karen and Jen) and hilarious (ahem, Tom), it truly was a day for the books. Perhaps what I love most is that Jill and Tim have made “Better Together,” their own personal oath, and their profession of love graced the top of their cake and is inscribed inside their wedding bands.
Jill and Tim, couples like you are the reason I do what I do. I am so grateful our paths crossed. Thank you for inviting me to capture your meaningful day, and I wish you both a lifetime of joy! xoxo
Many thanks to the other rock star team of wedding pros who helped make Tim and Jill’s Rookery wedding so perfect! We had such an incredible team, and I feel so lucky to have worked with all of you!
